Next Steps After SEMCO Installs the Outdoor Gas Line

Contact a Licensed Contractor

They can provide a cost estimate to convert or replace your appliances and change any piping in your home.

Convert Your Appliances

Schedule a contractor to install your new system or appliances.

Note: SEMCO employees do not convert appliances, install inside piping, or light any appliances.

Disconnect Propane Sources

All propane sources must be disconnected and indoor piping connected to the outdoor meter bar. One appliance must be ready to light before gas activation.

Turn Gas On

Plan for your contractor to meet with the SEMCO employee who will turn on your gas.

Reseed Areas

Plan to reseed any areas disturbed by service line installation.
